Joe Roberto, local Minneapolis musician and artist (Poverty Hash, Disasternoon), was recently diagnosed with a rare genetic disease. It has done a number on his body and has already landed him in the hospital more days than we care to think about. He will need continued care until his recovery.
To help out Joe and his partner Robyn, we (Hook and Ladder) are throwing a JoeFundMe fundraising weekend:
Saturday, September 25, 12pm—6pm, Palmer’s Bar Palmer’s, Joe’s place of employment and favorite haunt, will be hosting a day of special events, including a potluck dinner, raffles, and music.
Sunday, September 26, 6pm—10pm, The Hook and Ladder Theater & Lounge The Hook and Ladder will host a special fundraising concert and silent auction event. Very special guests TBA.
Now is the time to show support for Joe and Robyn, who have both contributed so much to the Minneapolis music community and the people that make it up. They love y’all, and you know you love them. Let's all help get Joe back on his feet and back on the Twin Cities’ stages.
